Funded by Australian Research Council and industry, an exciting opportunity has become available for up to three PhD candidates to join a multi-disciplinary team to develop models and methodology in service life prediction of infrastructure, such as buildings and underground pipes. Candidates are expected to hold a good Bachelor or Masters Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Building Engineering, or a related field, such as Applied Mathematics. The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated knowledge and proven experience in one of the following areas: Applied mathematics; Engineering mechanics; Materials science and engineering; Numerical and programming skills
To be considered for scholarship you must hold, or be currently completing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Building Engineering or a related field such as Applied Mathematics: a Master by research a Master by coursework with a significant research component graded as high distinction, or equivalent a Honours degree achieving first class honours a 4 year bachelor degree achieving a GPA of 4 or equivalent (80% or above).
