Information Technology Services (ITS) provides RMIT University with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and services. Our role is to support RMIT’s high quality teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. Information Technology is of increasing importance to the research, teaching and learning life of a university, particularly a ‘global university of technology and design’ like RMIT. The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Office Coordinator will be responsible for providing a high level of administration support to ITS including the coordination of space, facilities and resolving property related issues for the department with particular focus on OHS and adhering to RMIT Policies and Procedures. This position will also assist with the development and preparation of department events and wellbeing initiatives. They will work closely with the Business Services Manager to identify process improvement opportunities and assist with the implementation of best practices including templates, processes, communication and documentation in order, to ensure the highest quality of administration support is delivered with a strong customer focus.

Skills & Experience Required

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate expertise in managing a variety of administrative functions, and property and space related matters. Your will have excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise workloads, meet demanding deadlines, negotiate with stakeholders, take initiative and responsibility for tasks. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences. Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with attention to detail, proof reading and presentation will be imperative to your success in this role. In addition, you will be able to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team.
