The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Payroll Services Officer is responsible for a Client group providing timely and accurate processing of payroll and HR master data for the fortnightly payroll to achieve customer service excellence. This includes providing advice for individual staff members and managers on a range of HR/Payroll issues including salary administration, leave entitlements, interpretation of industrial instruments, conditions of service, staff benefits and superannuation.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience providing timely and accurate processing of payroll and HR master data for a large complex Australian payroll. 
  • Demonstrated working experience and knowledge of HR administration, complex payroll operations with exposure to a diverse range of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements, Superannuation, PAYG, and Workcover.
  • Experience maintaining and updating Position Management and Organisational Structure within an HR/Payroll system.
  • Previous experience using an electronic document system.  TRIM preferred.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative in the identification and implementation of better work practices.
  • Proven experience working with the implementation of changing technologies processes and providing system testing and end user training for successful implementation.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and positively to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines with a strong commitment and demonstrated ability to provide customer service excellence
