The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a range of training and development activities (face to face  and  online)  for  the  RMIT  developME  program,  which  supports  skill  development,  induction  and  people management within the University. Working with the Training & Development Team within the Organisational Development (OD) function, this position provides assistance with the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, and works collaboratively within the broader OD team on other projects.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently perform a broad range of administrative activities to implement training and organisational development programs
  • Well-developed project management, research and analytical skills
  • Ability to support the diagnosis of training and development issues and to recommend appropriate solutions
  • Knowledge  of  and  ability  to  undertake  research  on  training  and  development  practices,  interventions  and policies including enhancements to systems and processes
  • Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships  and relationships  in a collaborative  manner with key internal clients and external stakeholders to support the University‚Äôs business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and complete projects/tasks to tight timelines
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, verbal and written skills
  • Proven ability in the use of a range of computer applications, including SAP, web publishing and Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience with online training environments
