The role and your responsibilities

The Advisor, Digital Workplace (Staff Site) will contribute to the success of the RMIT Strategy by delivering a timely, well managed publishing service that is best practice across all of RMIT. This will support an effective and engaging platform that creates transformational experiences for staff in how they access information, engage with RMIT and collaborate for business results.

This role is part of a small, dynamic and creative team who deliver university-wide governance, content architecture, planning and publishing services for the new Digital Workplace. A focus will be on delivering timely high quality services and advice in a consistent and efficient way. The role will also contribute to the management and reporting of data and analytics of the site as well as planning and management of content. This role will work closely with stakeholders of all levels across the university to ensure innovative best practice in the management of the site.

Skills and experience required

  • Ability to work in a highly-effective communications function or agency environment and demonstrated
    communications skills.
  • Understanding of communications planning, delivery and measurement that contributed to organisational
  • Understanding of new media and digital technology to improve outcomes.
  • Understanding of how to work with data and stakeholders to identify emerging and unmet needs and to develop
    solutions to meet those needs.
  • Experience in encouraging a workplace culture of high performance and promoting accountability for outcomes
    as well as providing support and guidance to team members.
  • Significant experience with content management systems (specific experience in AEM and/or with internal
    platforms will be well regarded)
