Property Services has approximately 120 staff and has the responsibility to operate, maintain and enhance the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University, oversee construction projects and ensure the provision of physical facilities services

The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Coordinator, Sustainability Engagement will assist in creating a cultural shift at the University by promoting the adoption of sustainable choices among student and staff.

The Coordinator, Sustainability Engagement will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop tools, campaigns, training and awareness programs to build capability and promote the uptake of sustainability initiatives.

As the first point of contact in the Sustainability Team, the Coordinator, Sustainability Engagement will engage with student-led initiatives and staff enquiries. The position will coordinate an annual program of sustainability events to raise awareness of key sustainability issues and celebrate the progress made at the University to date.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in engaging with others to build strong stakeholder engagement demonstrating a creative, innovative and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with high level written and oral competencies.
  • Demonstrated project management skills including planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Experience with social media, web based programs and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Recent RMIT Graduate
