The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for providing effective analytical support to the Finance Manager to facilitate delivery of high level financial support services across all facets of the School’s activities. This will include budgeting and forecasting, ad hoc reporting, day to day financial and general administration, reconciliation of accounts, database development and maintenance. In this role, you will also be responsible for ensuring compliance in relation to financial policy and procedures. You will be required to travel to the Melbourne CBD campus on occasions.

Skills & Experience Require

As the successful candidate you will have prior experience in financial administration and reporting requirements, within a large complex organisation. You will also have a high level of numeracy and analytical skills, combined with an applied knowledge of accounting concepts and practices. Sound interpersonal, communication, negotiation and customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external clients will be imperative to your success in this role. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and complete projects/tasks to tight timelines, coupled with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes in work practices will be highly advantageous.
