The Role & Responsibilities

The Technical Manager, Process Chemistry is responsible for the operational efficiency, compliance, safety and professional service delivery of laboratory services and infrastructure for their assigned functions. You will play a key role in the development and implementation of consistent and effective work and risk management processes and practices across the Technical Services function.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will have substantial experience and knowledge within food science, food manufacturing, chemical engineering and process engineering fields. You will have demonstrated ability in successfully managing a technical team to deliver high quality service to a diverse range of teaching and research activities. Possessing a willingness to learn, design, lead, and support a wider range of facility capabilities and processes will be essential to your success in this role. Furthermore, you will have an understanding of relevant legislative requirements of the OHS Act and experience in database management.
