The Role and Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and passionate individual with a strong interest in facilitating ethical and responsible research to join our established team in the Research & Innovation Portfolio at RMIT. The Ethics & Integrity team foster a culture of positivity, inclusivity and service excellence and we truly value our team members as well as relationships with researchers and other stakeholders.

You will work within our team to provide high-level ethics and governance advice and support to RMIT researchers and relevant committees, including the Human Research Ethics Networks. In addition, you will facilitate training for the RMIT research community which increase awareness and engagement with research ethics, as well as leading continuous improvement initiatives which support the development, refinement and implementation of related research policies, procedures and practices.

Skills & Experience Required

You will have strong knowledge and understanding of research ethics and governance principles and practices in an Australian context, as well as proven experience in the development and refinement of research governance and ethics related policies, procedures and processes. You will possess excellent communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills to successfully liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Your ability to handle multiple tasks and re-adjust workload priorities to meet conflicting deadlines will be critical to this role.

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in a relevant area and substantial relevant work experience.
