The Role
The Paid Search Specialist will support the Manager Acquisition Marketing to optimise RMIT’s digital media investment. You will lead RMIT University’s paid search activity in-house and implement ongoing optimisations, provide insights and ensure the account is performing to meet acquisition targets. You will have a real passion for digital and a love of data.

Your Responsibilities
• Partner with the Acquisition Marketing Manager and the rest of the Acquisition and Audiences team to implement paid search activity and optimisation in-house. Work alongside the SEO specialist to ensure paid and organic search work in conjunction to achieve the best return on investment
• Partner with internal stakeholders and agencies to implement and optimise digital campaigns that meet recruitment objectives. Experience across channels beyond SEM is desirable; including display, video, social and programmatic platforms
• Build strong relationships with the agencies and partners, and ensure campaigns/ key initiatives launch on time and are optimised well to achieve acquisition targets
• Provide key partners with regular high quality reports on paid search performance by segments and campaigns
• Support RMIT’s end-to-end digital marketing strategy partnering with key stakeholders across the University. Provide strategic advice and expertise with regards to digital marketing performance
• Support the adoption of new AdTech/MarTech across RMIT’s acquisition efforts, and be a champion of innovation and data-driven performance marketing
• Analyse the market, global trends, competitors and users providing actionable insight

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in executing paid search in-house, including strong ad copy-writing ability
• Experience with the implementation of Google Adwords, Google Search Ads 360 and Bing
• Strong understanding of various advertising channels including video, display, programmatic, social and similar
• Strong analytics capability across paid media reporting software such as Double-click and Google Analytics
• Excellent time management skills coupled with strong stakeholder and agency management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to consult and interact effectively with all levels of the organisation
• A strong dedication to a team oriented approach, agile ways of working and ability to understand and work with different cultures
• Experience using Adobe products, and managing global campaigns (including search) will be highly regarded
