About the role and college / portfolio:

The University Communications Group leads activity to strengthen the University’s brand and reputation through media, strategic communications and digital media. University Communications is responsible for media management and training, internal communications, issues management, corporate publications, website maintenance and the production of digital assets.

The Coordinator, Digital Communications will contribute to the success of the RMIT Strategy by delivering a timely, well managed web publishing service that is best practice across RMIT. This role will play an important part in managing our intranet and website, reviewing content, recommending functionality and being a champion of best practice for our web presence. The Coordinator will support an effective and engaging platform that creates transformational experiences for staff, students and the public in how they access information, engage with RMIT and collaborate for business results whilst providing advice and guidance to stakeholders on best solutions which align to our audiences and our wider content,  communications and digital strategy.

About you:

You will have the ability to work in a highly-effective communications function. You will have a thorough understanding of communications planning, delivery and measurement that contribute to organisational objectives. Your excellent communication skills and demonstrated passion for delivering creative and impactful communications experiences will add to your success in this role. You will have high attention to detail and have demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data.

You will have extensive experience and understanding of new media and digital technology to improve outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and with significant relevant professional experience at a similar level.
  • 2-3 years in a role with similar experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office
