The Academic Registrar's Group (ARG) is responsible for the administrative, policy and Integrity activities of the University which relate to the student lifecycle. The ARG operating environment is highly complex; the University has more than 80,000 students enrolled in both Vocational and Higher Education programs, at campuses in Melbourne, Europe and Vietnam, and at several offshore locations in conjunction with educational and industry partners.

About the role
The Personal Assistant is responsible for providing high quality, flexible and confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Academic Registrar across a range of designated tasks. The nature of the position requires regular contact with the senior management of the University and is the first point of contact for people wishing to communicate with the Academic Registrar.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-level secretarial and administrative support to a senior executive or equivalent including; diary and travel management, correspondence, compiling meeting papers, document development, information management and high-level stakeholder liaison.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the ARG is represented in a professional manner, whilst embracing the team ethos of integrity and confidentiality
  • Being flexible, open to change, with a willingness to support the wider team with administration where needed

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in a PA or EA position within a large and complex environment. Working within a small team environment, you will have a sense confidentiality and demonstrate a friendly, but firm approach.

Essential to this role, you will have a commitment to continuous improvement, and exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills. In addition, you will be able to support the team with IT Microsoft applications (such as Teams and SharePoint). Your ability to build and maintain relationships with the team will contribute to your success in this exciting opportunity.
