About the role Reporting to the Technical Manager Mechanical Testing, the Technical Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of day to day operational requirements within the Bundoora East campus. You will coordinate the safe and effective functioning of the facility to support learning and teaching, research and industry activities within Mechanical Testing technically supported areas, with support from Technical Manager. You will lead the technical team to ensure organisational and stakeholder expectations are met, by delivering a high level, compliant, timely and professional technical service.

About YouTo be successful in this position, you will have proven working experience in material testing, manufacturing engineering, laboratory and/or other manufacturing/work shop type environment, with a strong focus on safety and OH&S legislation and regulations. You will have leadership and supervisory experience, and the ability to motivate and engage with a wide variety of employees, coupled with strong time-management and prioritisation of the team’s work-load.
You will have a flexible approach to be able to work with the other Technical Coordinator (Civil Engineering) and support each other when needed. In addition, you will have a passion for product and process improvement and be able to bring new and innovative ideas to the table. This role will require support with purchasing and administration, and in turn will require intermediate proficiency in MS Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
