About the role
As one of the largest Business Schools in the Asia Pacific region, the College of Business and Law is comprised of six schools – five in Melbourne and one in Vietnam - delivering a broad range of programs in Business, ranging from Certificates up to PHD levels.
The Head of Department is an integrated leadership and management role in the School of Accounting, Information Systems and Supply Chain. The role is responsible for strategic and academic leadership and for driving learning and teaching quality, research relevance and industry engagement for the discipline. This includes being accountable for program quality, relevance and compliance of the School’s academic programs and courses.
In addition, the Head of Department is a key member of the School executive and contributes at a senior level to the strategic planning and development of the School. The incumbent is required to work collaboratively with all members of the School’s academic and professional staff to ensure that the School achieves its strategic objectives within the context of the overall College and University objectives.
Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
