About the role /College

The Global Marketing and Student Recruitment (GMSR) Group’s vision is to bring to life RMIT’s 2020 strategy by putting the student at the centre of everything we do, creating a differentiated brand proposition, developing integrated deep insights for all our global students, and cultivating a differentiated and relevant service experience for those segments. The GMSR unit includes the following teams; Market Intelligence & Analysis; Market Development & Customer Innovation; Brand, Segments and Campaigns; Marketing Business Partners and Global Student recruitment.

The Global Student Recruitment Team leads all sales and direct marketing activities. It also includes International admissions activities, International student services, sponsorship development, and agent management.

The Student Recruitment Engagement Coordinator is a member of the Student Recruitment team and is responsible for overseeing the coordination and executing the school engagement strategy, by actively promoting RMIT programs to prospective students through presentations, expos and engagement activities.

Working within a deadline driven environment, this pivotal position requires excellent project and stakeholder management skills to support and develop RMIT’s student recruitment strategies.

The position is also required to coordinate an integrated marketing and communications strategy for RMIT, including ongoing market research, to ensure the delivery of a coordinated message and approach to all segments of the market.

Please note that this position may require regional and interstate travel and regular out of hours work.

About you

  • Experience in project management from inception through to evaluation phase
  • Demonstrates initiative and can think innovatively in a competitive environment
  • Experience in managing both internal and external relationships with an ability to influence and foster positive relationships
  • High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability and willingness to undertake public speaking
  • Knowledge of secondary and tertiary education in Australia and an ability to build rapport with future students, parents and the general public.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels and with clients from a range of cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field (e.g. marketing, PR, communications) and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A current Victorian driver’s licence is essential
